Bill Jacobs is Director of Technical Product Management for Advanced Analytics at Microsoft. Bill helps to guide Microsoft’s efforts to deliver predictive analytics products that help users leverage large data assets to create and improve products and services, reduce risk and streamline operations. Previously, as VP, Product Marketing and Field CTO and Revolution Analytics, Bill helped to build Revolution and the R analytics language into the powerhouse it is today. Bill joined Microsoft following the acquisition of Revolution by Microsoft. With a deep background in big data infrastructure and predictive analytics at Microsoft, Revolution Analytics, Pivotal, Netezza and Sybase, Bill brings deep experience in the big data platforms and predictive analytics techologies. He has worked with leading-edge users in manufacturing, as well as other industries including retail, financial services, healthcare, life sciences, telecom and insurance settings use cases. An avid pilot and restorer of antique airplanes, Bill lives in Denver with his family and can be found on Twitter at @bill_jacobs.
