Finbar is a rail engineer and has been working for Geomatic Technologies of Melbourne, Australia since 2008. He advises clients on how to solve complex rail engineering challenges through the application of Geomatics engineering principles. Finbar’s career commenced with German Federal Railways in 1993 working on the planning and construction of the Frankfurt to Cologne high speed railway line. He then spent 6 years working for the Sydney commuter rail network where he managed rail projects including the implementation of the world’s first mechanized track inspection solution to minimize track walking. A native of Ireland, Finbar lives in Sydney Australia where he enjoys the wonderful lifestyle the 'Harbour City' offers.
