Dr. Robert Wilson is an engineer with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Office of the Associate Administrator for Railroad Policy and Development, Massachusetts, since September 2015. Dr. Wilson’s primary areas of focus are rail integrity and rail force management. Previously, Dr. Wilson was a mechanical engineer in the Infrastructure Systems & Technology Technical Center at the Volpe, The National Transportation Systems Center, U.S. Department of Transportation. Since 2012, Dr. Wilson has assisted the Federal Railroad Administration on track research projects ranging from new track inspection technologies to optimizing track inspection methodologies.
