Karl William Heckman enlisted in the Navy in 1980, became a Navy Nuke and served on special projects submarines USS Seawolf SSN-575 and USS Parche SSN-683 home ported at Mare Island, Calif. Post-Navy, he founded several businesses including a training and coaching company specializing in increasing the effectiveness of industrial frontline supervisors and trainers.
