Mr. Sadiki serves as the National Hydropower Business Line Manager for the US Army, Corps of Engineers in the Corps’ Headquarters office in Washington, DC. His primary responsibilities are developing and sustaining the Corps’ Hydropower Program strategic direction, annual budget development, policy development, hydropower asset management and infrastructure performance. He oversees an annual hydropower program budget that exceeds $200 million (US). He is a graduate of Howard University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and has over 38 years of Federal service, including 34 years of hydropower experience. He has been the lead engineer and author of over 20 major hydropower reports that included subjects from powerhouse rehabilitation and modernization, impacts on hydropower operations, technical power plant designs, and water supply/storage reallocation studies. He has contributed numerous papers on hydropower topics at national and international industry conferences and seminars, in addition to many professional presentations. He currently serves on the Steering Committees for 2014 HydroVision conference to be held in Nashville, TN in July 2014 and the National Hydropower Association annual conference in Washington, DC in April 2014. He also serves as a member of the Technical Committee of the U.S. Section, Permanent Engineering Board, for the U.S.-Canada Columbia River Treaty, a model agreement for managing international cross-boundary water resources. He is a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration certified research scuba diver and a certified general aviation pilot. He enjoys river kayaking and playing acoustic guitar.
