Mr. Christensen is a senior civil engineer and fish biologist with with R2 Resource Consultants. He has over 23 years of experience providing fisheries science and engineering consulting services to the hydroelectric industry and resource agencies. His experiences have included the design of powerhouses, dams, and fish passage facilities throughout the country, involving hydraulic, structural, and civil design from conceptual development through final design. Mr. Christensen also has extensive experiences involving resource agency interaction, technical report preparation, construction support and monitoring, and project management. Prior to entering the engineering profession, he worked as a fish biologist on anadromous fish restoration and commercial fishing research projects for federal and state fisheries agencies in Washington, Alaska, and Maine. Mr. Christensen’s recent work has been heavily focused on providing design development for major fish and water quality mitigation projects at mainstem and tributary hydro projects throughout the Columbia River basin.
