Lars Meier earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in 1997. He began his professional career at Voith Hydro working as a Hydraulic Engineer, responsible for hydraulic application of turbines, pumps and pump turbines. He was appointed to the position of Head of Technical Sales Support responsible for the hydraulic layout and for selected projects also mechanical layout of all turbine and pump types for binding offers in 2007. Since 2010 he is Chief Engineer at Voith Hydro, Inc., York, PA.
