Kerry McCalman is the Senior Advisor for Hydropower for the Bureau of Reclamation. He oversees the hydroelectric power program for Reclamation, including operations and maintenance of 53 hydropower plants, compliance with electric reliability standards, and renewable energy development. He started his career in hydropower as an electrical test engineer for the Corps of Engineers and joined Reclamation in 1999. In his 26 years in federal hydropower he has held various levels of engineering, facility management, and hydropower program management positions in the Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics and Mathematics from Northeastern Oklahoma State University.
