James Yang obtained his PhD degree from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. During the past two decades, he has been involved in both research & consulting in hydraulics related to dam safety and dam refurbishment. He is a specialist at Vattenfall and a Professor of hydraulic design at Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He serves also as member of the ICOLD Committee on Hydraulics for Dams.
