Michael Switt is a project finance professional with over 17 years experience originating, structuring and investing in debt and equity transactions in the power sector in Canada and the United States. In 2009 he joined Manulife Financial as a Managing Director in their Project Finance group responsible for originating and structuring debt and equity transactions. During his time at Manulife he has closed over 25 transactions totaling over $3.3 billion. Prior to that he was part of the GE Energy Financial Services where he was responsible for structuring and underwriting debt and equity investments in the power sector in Canada. Previous to his time at GE EFS Michael spent 8 years in New York with Scotia Capital and Newcourt/CIT advising and arranging financings at various parts of the capital structure. Michael holds a Master in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst.
