Robert Pike New York Independent System Operator Director – Market Design and Product Management Robert Pike is Director of Market Design and Product Management for the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO). He has been involved in the evaluation, design and implementation of wholesale electric markets at the NYISO since its startup in 1999. His current responsibilities include the evaluation and evolution of the capacity, energy and congestion rights markets to achieve improved efficiencies, incorporate desired market features and address regulatory obligations. Mr. Pike has worked for the NYISO and its predecessor, the New York Power Pool, for 20 years. He has served in an array of roles in engineering, operations, information technology, and project and product management. He earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University and a Master of Business Administration from Union College.
