Holds an Electrical Engineering Master’s Degree from Laval University, Québec, specialized in Electrical Machine Design (1999). He joined GE (formerly Alstom) in 1997 where he was first involved in the electrical and thermal design of large turbo- and hydro generators. Since 2016, he’s heading the generator electrical department in GE, Sorel-Tracy (Québec), where he develops and coaches engineers. He is in charge of worldwide installed based generator electrical analysis, uprate studies, site installation follow up, factory and site testing. Contact info: carl.messier@ge.com
