Bert is a licensed electric power engineer with a masters in power. He has 44 years experience involving generators, insulation systems and test, assessment and diagnostics. For the first 36 years he worked in the Reclamation Electric Power Branch, Div. of Research. He developed the DC Ramp test and the capacitance mapping test. He has performed numerous assessment and failure investigations involving rotating machinery. He is currently a Generator and insulation system test and assessment consultant.
