Travis Sinclair is a Project Manager in Duke Energy’s Water Strategy and Hydro Licensing Group in North and South Carolina. He is responsible for advancing and implementing the company’s public recreation facilities utilizing best practices in; lands management, cultural issues, endangered species and sustainable design and construction techniques. The projects he leads are governed by the current or new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission operating license for hydroelectric power generation. The projects support the company's rate and regulatory initiatives, managing state and local regulatory and governmental relations. Before joining the company in 2007, Travis served as an engineer for five years and an instructor at universities and community colleges in North and South Carolina. He has served as a facility member at the University of Hawaii and University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The North Carolina, native earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree, with a minor in mathematics, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Travis is active in a number of community and professional activities. He co-directs a community youth basketball league for over 450 children, he is an advisor board member of The Center for Applied Ethics at UNC-Charlotte and advances economic development as a team member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.
