Tim has nearly 30 years of mechanical and civil engineering experience. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and a MS in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical engineering focus from Oregon State University. He has worked at such firms as Boeing Commercial Aircraft, General Electric Aircraft Engines, High Energy Physics Department at Indiana University and for the last 16 years at the Portland Water Bureau. He is the program manager/senior design engineer for infrastructure projects in the Bull Run Watershed. He has managed a wide range of projects including seismic retrofits of key facilities and bridges, tunnels, dam infrastructure, and large diameter pipe projects. He is the in-house geotechnical expert for the Water Bureau with experience with LIDAR surveys, landslide assessments, and seismic hazard identification.
