As a project manager at IIHR during the past 19 years, Larry has supervised a number of projects for the power industry using physical and numerical models. He has expertise in river hydraulics, hydraulic structures, and fish passage facilities. He has been involved in the design of spillway deflectors, sluiceways, fish bypasses, collection and conveyance systems, and extraction orifices and weirs from gate wells. Larry is the Director of IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering and co-founder of the Iowa Flood Center, a critical resource established in 2009 for flood resiliency in Iowa.
