Colonel Courtney Cote was born at Fort Carson, Colorado and grew up at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Colonel Cote enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1987 and was later commissioned into the U.S. Army and Aviation Branch in 1991. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Auburn University as a Distinguished Military Graduate. In 2003 he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and in 2013 earned a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base. His professional military education includes the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course, the Army Rotary Wing Aviator Course, the Army Airborne School, the Army Air Assault School, the Aviation Officer Advanced Course, the UH-1H, OH-58A/C qualification course, the AH-64A and D Apache Qualification Courses, The Bell 407 Qualification Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3), the Material Acquisition Manager Course, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the Air War College. Colonel Cote is a Senior Army Aviator and a member of the Army Acquisition Corps.
