Mr. Louthan received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University in 1982. After graduation he joined Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, where he worked on the Aquila RPV program. Mr. Louthan continued to work in the UAV industry for 28 years, with most of the efforts focused on propulsion systems. His work has led to a close association with Mr. David Garside and the engines he developed while at Norton Motors Ltd. This includes award of a patent addressing diesel combustion applied to the Wankel engine. He is currently involved in the application of the Wankel diesel engine to military electrical power generation systems. Through his company, Mr. Louthan continues to support the UAV industry.
