Andrew Palowitch, Ph.D, PE is the CEO of Point Conception, a company specializing in autonomous system operations headquartered in McLean, VA. Over his career he has led several technical collection services companies in the marine, aerospace and space sectors. Prior to his current position, he was the CEO of Tenax Aerospace providing special mission fixed wing manned aircraft technical collection services to the US Government. As a US Government senior acquisition executive in the intelligence and defense communities between 2002 and 2011 he championed innovative space and airborne commercial operations service procurement strategies. In previous industry CEO/Chairman leadership positions with Dynamics Technology and Energy Compression Research (a venture backed start up) he designed, developed, and fielded several advanced optical, acoustic, and electromagnetic sensor systems. Dr. Palowitch currently holds Board positions on several technology start-up companies in cyber, geospatial information, and communications markets. He graduated from the US Naval Academy with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and served in the US Navy as a nuclear submarine officer. He received his MS and Ph.D. from the University of California in applied physics. He is a registered professional engineer in Maryland and California.
