Lindbergh Foundation chairman John Petersen conceived of and developed the foundation's Air Shepherd program which flies drones at night with IR cameras to spot the poachers who are attempting to kill elephants and rhinos. He is a former aircraft carrier aviator and worked at the White House as well as starting six different companies, He is also a well-known professional futurist, having written 3 books and developed a number of unique future-oriented technologies.
