William Rowe, President and CEO of Nutrasource, co-founded the company with leading omega-3 expert and Professor Emeritus, Dr. Bruce J. Holub, in May 2002. The new business venture was centered around the launch of a novel omega-3 diagnostic blood test for consumers and healthcare practitioners. The release of this test in the commercial marketplace helped address the need for a straightforward, scientifically sound means of measuring an individual's omega-3 status, something that was lacking among the healthcare industry at the time. Two years later, Nutrasource developed the International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS) testing and certification program to meet the growing needs of the omega-3 supplement industry. Through Will’s dynamic leadership and strategic vision casting, the company later added divisions devoted to scientific and regulatory affairs, clinical trials and product testing. Will has been instrumental in designing and implementing clinical trial development and marketing strategies for Sponsor products to comply with domestic and international regulatory requirements. Nutrasource further expanded its offerings with the acquisition of Diteba, an analytical/bioanalytical laboratory, in 2013, and U.S.-based consulting firm GRAS Associates in 2014. At the helm of Nutrasource, Will has over 15 years of experience in providing expertise for successful launches of new consumer health products and re-launches of existing projects with new claims. Today Nutrasource employs over 100 staff members at four different sites in three countries.
