Mr. Verlin Hardin serves as the Director of the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Office of Transition Management (OTM). In this role, he oversees the development of the MHS’ Transition Application Plan (TAP), which is helping to facilitate and synchronize the strategic, technical, functional, infrastructure, and financial processes of transitioning the MHS’ current automation capabilities and legacy systems to the future state to include the DoD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM). This involves analyzing more than 200 central and Service systems totaling more than $1.0 Billion to identify and sequence those systems that need to be modernized to support the current environment as well as those systems that will be terminated once the new electronic health record is fully deployed.
