Orinda is a Director with CLA’s Federal Government practice. She is responsible for leading financial statement audits, performance audits, Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA) audits, improper payments audits, and providing consulting services related to financial accounting and reporting, policies and procedures, business process documentation, and internal controls for the Department of Defense and civilian agencies. Prior to joining CLA, Orinda was a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP. Her expertise stems from 23 years of assurance and advisory services, including 21 years rendering public accounting services under Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Act. Orinda has also provided services to state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and commercial entities. Orinda is a member of CLA’s Federal Accounting and Audit Committee (FAAC) and a continuous contributor to CLA’s thought leadership, training programs, and publications. Orinda serves as a member of AGA’s Financial Management Standards Board, AGA’s Technical Training Committee, and AGA’s Annual Awards Gala Committee
