Gregory Kane is the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the IRS. He has been with the IRS 32 years with 18 years of experience leading and advising IRS Senior Leaders on financial management, internal controls, and improper payment reporting. He has led closing several material weaknesses and significant deficiencies over his career, and has led achieving unmodified opinions on the IRS combined financial statements for 15 consecutive years, including the accounting for approximately $3.1 trillion in tax revenue receipts, $374 billion in tax refunds, and $11 billion in IRS appropriated funds.
