Mats Östman is presently Senior Development Manager of Power Plant Technology & Solutions, Electrical & Automation at Wärtsilä Finland. He is responsible for R&D activities, roadmaps and strategies related to HV and MV concepts and systems utilized in the Wärtsilä Power Plant product portfolio. He is currently focusing on HV and MV systems and grid connection related topics. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Vaasa Institute of Technology, Finland, and he joined Wärtsilä Power Plants in 1995.
