Joining Amec Foster Wheeler’s nuclear business in 2008,Tom has helped to lead the transformation the business into a leading supplier of consultancy,engineering and project management services in the UK nuclear sector.His current role involves leading the BD,Bid Delivery,Marketing and Communications functions for Clean Energy Europe.His role is to ensure that the business secures strategic opportunities in our heartland and growth markets,becoming more sales focused to create sustainable growth.Tom’s priorities include developing solutions to customers’ changing needs by listening to stakeholders,developing and leveraging relationships and exploiting Amec Foster Wheeler’s deep technical knowledge. Tom is a familiar and well-respected face within the UK nuclear industry and has represented this sector in supporting the Government’s ambitious and challenging future nuclear strategy,including a role as Chair of the Nuclear Industry Council’s Trade & Industry work stream.Previously he has chaired various industry-focused bodies and is a former non-executive director of a number of small and medium enterprises,focused on supporting and developing nuclear capability and scope throughout the supply chain. Tom is a proactive advocate of shaping and developing the energy industry through sourcing and developing the crucial expertise and capacity building that this requires.He has also been integral in developing Amec Foster Wheeler’s strong links and support to some of the world’s utilities with their nuclear ambitions.He has previously worked in numerous business sectors including Oil&Gas, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical.Tom has also gained direct operational experience in delivering large-scale critical infrastructure programmes. Tom holds an Engineering degree,a Masters of Business Administration from Warwick Business School and a Post Graduate Diploma in Organisational Consulting from Ashridge Business School
