A Swedish national, Mats obtained his Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Brighton. Since then, Mats has been a Software Engineer with occasional forays into Systems Administration. Mats has a well rounded background and very broad interests after having worked at organisations like Sun Microsystems and the University of Oxford, lived and worked in the UK, New Zealand, the USA and Australia, as well as having worked in the finance, health, and IT research industries. When living in New Zealand, Mats became a Qualified Glider Pilot, further fuelling his interest in meteorology and renewable energy. Now living in Canberra, Australia, and working for NICTA, Mats is the Technical Lead of the Australian Renewable Energy Mapping Infrastructure.
