Jaime is a young professional in the energy business, focused on finding innovative solutions for current energy-related problems. Jaime holds a M.Sc. (Tech.) in Energy Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, and has been a driving force in several international research projects in novel topics, which range from stochastic output forecast of solar PV plants for market positioning leverage; to the thermodynamic design of CHP plants to integrate CCS profitably, as a part of the Finnish National Carbon Capture and Storage Program. Jaime's career in the energy sector is young but very intense, having worked in state-of-the-art topics both in Spain and Finland. He joined Wärtsilä in 2013, and is currently part of a team researching the use of engine-based power plants to bring ground-breaking benefits to existing power systems, also enabling the integration of higher shares of renewable energy. Jaime's research has been recognised with several awards, including a Highly Commended Paper Award in Power-Gen Asia 2015.
