Torsten Schliepdiek graduated as a process engineer and received his degree at the University of applied sciences in Düsseldorf. He has over 25 years of experience in process engineering and project management and is an expert in his field of carbon capture. He began his career in 1989 at Röhm GmbH (later Evonik Industries AG) in Darmstadt as project engineer and project manager in the engineering department. After a few years as plant engineer of hydroxyester and latices plants at the site Worms, he changed to the engineering department of Aventis R&T ((later Axiva, then Siemens AG) as project manager for engineering projects of chemical plants such as fine and specialty chemicals plants. After occupations as project manager and commissioning engineer for waste oil treatment plants at Puralube GmbH and project manager in the engineering department of InfraServ GmbH & Co. Knapsack KG for polysilicon plants Torsten moved in 2010 to the field of Post Combustion Carbon Capture at the Siemens AG. There he worked ever since as a project manager for engineering projects. He has managed various engineering studies, acted as engineering manager and expert for O&M topics. Torsten’s mother tongue is German and he speaks moderate English.
