Michael Horn

Siemens AG
Michael Horn is responsible for Proposal and Project Management in the Carbon Capture and Sequestration segment of Siemens AG, Germany. After his diploma in electrical engineering he joined Siemens AG in 1995 as a project engineer for electrical generators. After three years in generator engineering and two years as a project manager for industrial turbine generator sets Michael joined the purchasing department for industrial power plants of Siemens AG and was appointed head of purchasing for industrial power plants in 2002. He left the position in 2006 and took over a management function in the engineering segment for combined cycle power plants. During 2009 and 2013 Michael was head of electrical engineering for conventional islands in nuclear power plants. In 2013 he joined the Carbon Capture and Sequestration segment of Siemens AG in his current function. In his different assignments Michael has gathered comprehensive experience in power plant technology with a strong focus on plant engineering, project management and economic evaluation.
