Mr. Nicola Rossi took a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Pisa (Italy) on April 2000. He joined ENEL on October 2000 where he started working as a combustion engineer. He has managed several international projects on thermal and renewables generation systems. His expertise covers clean coal combustion technologies, materials for high efficiency generation systems, gas turbines, biomass generation systems, geothermal power systems, solar power systems, power plant monitoring and diagnostic, automation and robotics, digital and industrial IoT. Mr. Rossi has covered several managing positions in the generation sector. He is presently leading innovation on Generation Technologies and IoT within Enel, Global Thermal Generation Division. His responsibilities include identifying and ensuring implementation of innovation projects at global level in the areas of diagnostic and digital technologies (e.g. Internet of Things and Big Data), emission control and water management, efficiency, flexibility and reliability of power plants.
