Rod Perala received his PhD in EE from Denver University in 1971. He has been with EMA since 1978, and is its President. His technical work has been in the evaluation and verification of the effects of lightning and other electromagnetic environments upon aircraft, missiles and ground stations, including railroad C&S systems. He is co-author of a book "Lightning Protection of Aircraft."is technical experience includes electromagnetic effects, including lightnining, on aircraft, missiles, amd ground systems, including railroads.
