Peter J. Ray, Vice President Engineering of The Indiana Rail Road Company, joined INRD in 2006, and has over 35 years of railroad experience. Pete’s railroad career began on the Rock Island; he later joined AT&SF, then Chicago & North Western (later absorbed by the Union Pacific), where he held positions in track maintenance and project engineering. He held senior engineering positions with CSX Transportation, followed by stints at LTV Steel and Cleveland-Cliff’s, Inc., where he served in management positions overseeing railroad and mining operations. Ray holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technical University. He is a registered professional engineer and a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association.
