Mary R. Ainsley is the Senior Director of Design and Construction for the MBTA. Mary is responsible for overseeing the design and construction projects ranging from $1 Million to $2 Billion dollors. Mary has nearly 35 years’ experience in design and construction management of complex public and private sector projects. Mary began her career in 1979 with Perini Corporation on the construction of the Red Line Extension, and for the past 21 years she has worked in the MBTA's Design and Construction Department. Notable projects under her leadership included the Silver Line Phase II & III, Lobster Pier in South Boston, Silver Line Enhancement Project and now the Green Line Extension Project. Mary is a graduate of University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
