Dr. John Gregory Green, P.E. is a licensed Professional Engineer with more than 19 years of experience. He is a Senior Project Manager - Rail with Hatch Mott MacDonald in their Chicago, IL office. He is a former employee of the Illinois Central Railroad, the CN Railway, Patrick Engineering, and CH2M Hill, where he was Infrastructure Task Leader for the “Oklahoma City to South Texas High Speed Passenger Rail Study” project for Texas D.O.T. Dr. Green graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Purdue University with a M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Millsaps College with a M.B.A. degree, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. He has been a member of AREMA since 1996, he is a member of Committee 17 – High Speed Rail and Committee 24 – Education and Training, and he is Chairman of Subcommittee 24-01 – Railway Engineer Education. Dr. Green is a registered Professional Engineer in AZ, FL, IL, MD, NV, and TX. He is the 2015-2016 Treasurer of the Illinois Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
