Mr. Duevel has nearly two decades of geotechnical and construction engineering experience encompassing a wide breadth of projects, including embankments, retaining walls, bridges and tunnels for railroads, public agencies and utilities. He has led the geotechnical design for more than 18 rail bridges and thousands of feet of retaining walls, in a wide range of soil and rock conditions. He has managed teams developing designs for complex, multidisciplinary projects through all phases ranging from initial feasibility, development of subsurface exploration programs, detailed design, and construction engineering. Mr. Duevel has specific expertise in site characterization, slope stability analyses, retaining wall design, seismic and liquefaction assessments, and temporary shoring and rock support design. He has also been responsible for the development for design reports, construction specifications, and final design drawings.
