Bob is a principal and chief engineer of Quandel Consultants, LLC. Over the past 15 years, he has worked closely with the FRA, FTA, freight railroads, State DOTs and transit agencies to plan and design passenger and freight rail infrastructure. His experience includes planning, project management, design engineering and construction support for civil work, track, electrical traction power systems, and signals for passenger and freight rail projects throughout the United States and Southeast Asia. He has extensive experience in developing and evaluating railroad and transit system route alternatives in support of NEPA requirements. Bob earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Civil Engineering from Princeton University. He is registered as a professional engineer in the State of IL. Bob is a member of the American Association of Railroad Superintendents, Chicago Railroad Superintendents Association and AREMA Committee 17. He currently serves on the RSAC representing APTA.
