Karen Nichols is a Senior Project Manager focusing on water quality and Clean Water Act compliance for HDR. He has over 25 years of watershed planning, stormwater compliance and monitoring, surface water quality and quantity modeling. Ms. Nichols has been the Project Manager for large bridge projects involving long span steel structures as well as large rail capacity projects involving large and complex structures. Karen graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Ms. Nichols is HDR’s Project Manager for the for the Great Salt Lake Culvert Closure permitting and compliance project. Ms. Nichols began working on infrastructure projects for state and private clients around the Great Salt Lake in the late 1980’s.
