Margaret Koprek is a manager, Condition-Based Maintenance, BNSF Mechanical. In this role, Margaret is responsible for reducing mechanical failures—including broken railcar wheels --by implementing wayside detection technology, including statistical models and advanced analytics. The technology Margaret develops is used across BNSF’s system to help ensure the safety of BNSF’s employees and members of the community where BNSF operates, which is comprised of more than 32,500 route miles of track in 28 states and three Canadian provinces. Margaret joined BNSF in 2007 through the Summer Intern and Management Trainee programs. She has held positions in Kansas City, KS and Fort Worth, TX. Education  Masters of Science, Industrial Engineering, St. Mary’s University  Master of Science, Texas A&M University  Bachelor of Science, Texas A&M University Personal Margaret lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband, two daughters and two dachshunds.
