Michael Williams is the Director of Industrial Engineering at Norfolk Southern, a position he has held for the past 2 years. He has spent his entire 32 year career at NS holding positions of increasing responsibility including Asst. Engineer Structures, Engineer Public Improvements, Industrial Engineer, and Senior Manager Industrial Engineering. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and also an MBA. He is a registered Professional Engineer, is current Director of AREMA’s Engineering Services Functional Group, and is former Chairman of AREMA Committee 16.
