Dr. An Steegen is executive vice president semiconductor technology & systems at imec, a worldleading semiconductor R&D center in Leuven, Belgium. She is responsible for the research and development of state-of-the-art nano-electronics technology, accelerating the growth of a connected and sustainable society. Dr. Steegen is a world recognized authority in the area of nano-scaled electronics to enable system solutions for IoT infrastructure, sensors and actuators based applications. She started her career as R&D director at IBM, New York. Dr. Steegen has a Ph.D in Material Science from the KU Leuven and she holds more than 100 publications and patents.
