ESAB University returns to FABTECH — this year collaboration with leading online educational site Weld.com — to offer more courses and time slots throughout the show. Classes feature instruction, live demonstrations and a Q&A with the instructors.
Visitors can learn practical fabrication tips and techniques from Ian Johnson and the crew from Weld.com. Johnson, an official spokesperson ESAB, is an off-road vehicle and fabrication expert, a former technical instructor and host of the hardcore off-roading show Four Wheeler, now appearing MotorTrend TV.
Bob Moffatt is host of Weld.com, a full-time welding instructor at Cowley College and an American Welding Society Certified Inspector and Educator. Moffatt was recognized by the National Institute for Staff & Organizational Development as a Master Teacher in 2002. Jason Becker, co-host of Weld.com, is a Marine Corps Veteran and welder/fabricator. After 15 year of service, he moved into welding education and is an American Welding Society Certified Inspector and Educator. Michael Becher, a.k.a. ManCub, is a welding specialist for Weld.com. He graduated from Hobart Institute of Welding Technology with a Combination Structural & Pipe Welding certificate. Before ManCub came to Weld.com, he worked in nuclear fabrication with the Boilermakers Local 154 on jobs for Westinghouse.
