aluminide (Pt/Al) coatings are very effective to provide protection against
oxidation and the effects of combustion temperatures as high approximately 1100
C°.

The
highly heat-resistant coatings are produced using a three-step process:
electro-deposition of platinum, diffusion heat treatment and aluminide coating
by means of pack or vapor phase technologies. Flame Spray has developed
proprietary techniques for aluminizing and is qualified by the major OEMs.
