In October 2018 the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) created a working group to address financial reporting issues noted by many Tribes. This session includes members of GASB’s Tribal Working Group and will provide an update on: Activities of the working group; Current guidance on why GASB is required for Tribal Casino financial reporting; Current guidance on the effect to the audit opinion when opting to following FASB.
