USMC Theater: Navy and Marine Corps Operations Overview - Always Ready for the Unexpected

The Marine Corps and Navy often are the equivalent of a single fighting force when they team in operations that come from the sea. There are multiple scenarios that range from humane support and disaster support on one end of the spectrum and on the other it may be a Show of Force in an attempt to contribute to a strategic area in turmoil and in some scenarios act as a fighting force at sea or from the sea using the resources combined of the Navy and Marine Corps.  This session will provide attendees with an overview of the Navy and Marine Corps Team and why it is important that Navy and Marine forces train and operate from a low to a high spectrum of operational capabilities.  Attendees will understand in more detail from examples provided how the Navy and Marine Corps Team operates and why it is important to have combined Naval and Marine Corps Forces.
