The defense budget for Cybersecurity has been increasing over the past couple of years and currently the president has requested another 4% budget increase for 2019.  Arguably, U.S. Military has enjoyed a technology advantage for many years.  However, with vulnerabilities in current systems combined with unrelenting increases in cyber attacks and advance persistent threats, do we still enjoy a cyber techology advantage?

Current cyber security solutions offer myriad capabilities ranging from network security solution to endpoint security, application security, content security, and cloud security.  These solutions have to be integrated together to better protect IT systems, data, and infrastructure from sophisticated threats.  Additional layers of protection and analysis through network flow analysis, Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) a defense-in-depth posture.

Audiences will hear:

  • How do you measure current security posture and is it enough to protect valued assets wherever they may be?
  • What steps will you need to take to reduce the cyber attack surface, increase operational effectiveness, and protect sensitive mission data?
  • What are the current challenges preventing full visibility defense into the networks and endpoints?
  • What is needed to maneuver defensively at cyber speed?
  • What does automated detection and response to threats look like for the security analyst in 2020?
  • What are emerging technology threats that will enable the adversary?
  • What will be needed to allow you to be proactive against the potential of new cyber actors in the next decade?
