“Case story – Using advanced simulation solutions for construction and O&M assessment of the Icebreaker Wind Project” Summary This presentation will demonstrate how advanced construction and O&M simulation solutions has assisted the Icebreaker Wind project in assessing various logistic strategies, mitigate risk and reduce cost. Background During the development of the Icebreaker Wind project, LEEDCo decided to apply advanced modelling, simulation and data analytics tools in order to further develop and optimize the construction and O&M phase, and turned to Shoreline ́s simulation solutions, as being the most suitable choice available in the marketplace. In close cooperation with the Icebreaker Wind team, Shoreline built a virtual model of the Icebreaker Wind project using site specific input such as met ocean data, layout and infra structure. Once the virtual model was completed it was handed over the Icebreaker Wind team, who could then run simulation scenarios inhouse.
