The AWEA Offshore Wind Standards Subcommittee and Working Groups for metocean, floating, submarine cables, geotechnical and geophysical, and OCRP 2012 are meeting to work on the development of the five recommended practices. - Metocean Working Group, Room: Congressional C
This working group is focusing on metocean conditions relevant for all offshore facilities associated with offshore wind energy systems including turbines, support structures, offshore substations, cables, met towers, and buoys.
- Floating Working Group, Room: Bunker Hill/ Lexington/ Concrod
This working group is focusing on unmanned floating offshore wind turbine technologies in U.S. state and federal waters throughout the life of the installation including design, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning.
- Submarine Cables Working Group, Room: Congressional B
This working group is focusing on submarine cable life cycle from design, material selection, specification, manufacturing, transportation, storage, handling, installation and commissioning, to operations, maintenance, integrity verification and decommissioning of submarine cable systems.
- Geotechnical and Geophysical Working Group, Room: Congressional D
This working group is focusing on geotechnical and geophysical investigations and design.
- OCRP 2012 Working Group, Room: Congressional A
This working group is focusing on updating the AWEA Offshore Compliance Recommended Practices.
