The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is working with stakeholders to determine the proper avenues for the development of offshore wind resources in a manner that fairly compensates generators/developers for the power, delivers electricity load to the appropriate grid locations serving New Jersey, and properly addresses transmission issues existing between neighboring states. As a speaker or panelist at the AWEA Offshore Windpower conference, I would like to spark a discussion regarding the transmission of energy from generation to land-based distribution.
