Over the last several years, the number of hybrid electric vehicles on the road has increased dramatically. Electric/gas hybrids alone have doubled from three to six million since 2015. This course will give attendees a brief insight to the different types of hybrid vehicles than can expect to see in their repair shops, including plug-in electric hybrids, diesel/electric hybrids, and the aforementioned electric/gas hybrids. The training will provide an overview of hybrid system operation, as well presenting some light diagnostics. We will finish the session by examining some common failures with these vehicles.
